The CHULUX Mini K-Cup Brewer Is Down to $37 at Amazon

The CHULUX Mini single-serve brewer is $36.99 at Amazon, The Inventory reports, down from $42.99. That’s 14% off a machine that was already one of the cheapest ways to brew a K-Cup.

According to The Inventory, it’s an 800-watt, one-button brewer that takes K-Cup pods made for both original and 2.0 Keurigs, brews about 5 to 12 ounces, and shuts itself off. The drip tray comes out so a taller mug fits. It makes one cup at a time, and The Inventory pitches it at dorms, offices and small kitchens as a cheaper stand-in for the Keurig K-Mini.

There are limits. Grounds need a reusable filter, which is sold separately, and 12 ounces is the ceiling. The Inventory also flags that it’s rated for 120V outlets and altitudes up to 6,000 feet.

Our take: at under $40, it’s a reasonable spare for a desk or a dorm room, and since there’s no pod-reading lock, any standard K-Cup should do. Just don’t expect the build or support of a name brand. If you’ll use grounds, our guide to getting a strong cup from a reusable pod applies here too. We couldn’t confirm the price ourselves, so check the current price on Amazon.
