Nespresso Vertuo Pop Falls to £53.98 at Amazon UK, Trusted Reviews Says

The Nespresso Vertuo Pop is down to £53.98 at Amazon UK, Trusted Reviews reports, from a £99.99 list price. That’s 46% off, and the site says the Pop sat near £100 for most of September, making this its lowest price since July. Like the Vertuo Next deal we covered earlier this week, it’s UK only.

The Pop is Nespresso’s smallest and cheapest Vertuo machine. According to Trusted Reviews, it brews everything from a 40ml espresso up to a 230ml mug, heats up in about 30 seconds, and connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for descaling alerts. A welcome set of 12 capsules comes in the box. The site’s own review found the coffee as good as what the pricier Vertuo machines make, and says cups come out at about 66°C, so you can drink them almost straight away. If you like your coffee scalding, that’s worth knowing.

What you give up for the price is size. The Pop tops out at a mug, so there’s no carafe setting like the Next has, and milk drinks need an Aeroccino or another frother, sold separately. The deal is listed as limited-time.

Our take: £54 is a very low price for a Vertuo, and it makes the Pop an easy way to find out whether you like the system before spending more. Just remember Vertuo pods come only from Nespresso. US shoppers can compare the Pop with the other Vertuo models or check the current US price.
