Nespresso Vertuo Next Drops to £69 at Amazon UK, Trusted Reviews Says

The Nespresso Vertuo Next is down to £69 at Amazon UK, Trusted Reviews reports, from a list price of £150. That’s 54% off, but it’s a UK deal, so it won’t help anyone shopping on the US site.

The Next is one of Nespresso’s barcode-reading Vertuo machines. According to Trusted Reviews, it brews seven cup sizes, from a 25ml ristretto up to a 535ml carafe, heats up in about 30 seconds and has a 1.1-liter tank. It connects to the Nespresso app over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for descaling reminders and software updates, the body is 54% recycled plastic, and the box includes a welcome set of 12 pods. The site says the price is on an Amazon countdown, so it may not last.

The headline claim is that the machine costs less than a month of coffee shop visits. Trusted Reviews doesn’t put a number on that, and the comparison leaves out the pods. Vertuo capsules come only from Nespresso, so that’s an ongoing cost you can’t shop around on the way you can with Original or K-Cup pods.

Our take: £69 is a strong price for a Vertuo, and the app reminders are handy if you tend to forget to descale. If you’re in the US, the Next goes on sale here too, so don’t pay list.
