Nespresso Advent Calendar (Original or Vertuo)

Nespresso makes the only official Vertuo advent calendar, and since Vertuo machines only take Nespresso’s barcoded pods, it’s the only real option for Vertuo owners. Last year’s versions had 24 capsules, including three festive flavors, with a mug behind the final door, for $50 (Original) and $55 (Vertuo). As of late September, Nespresso hasn’t released the 2026 edition; last year it shipped from mid-October. Make sure you buy the version that matches the machine.

Tips for buying a pod advent calendar

  • Match the machine exactly. K-Cup, Nespresso Original and Vertuo pods are not interchangeable. If you’re not sure what they own, a Keurig calendar is the safest bet (it’s the most common machine), or ask a family member.
  • Buy early. Official calendars from Nespresso and Starbucks have sold out before December in past years.
  • Check the ship date. A calendar that arrives December 3rd means some doors get opened all at once.
  • Think about the drinker. Flavor-heavy calendars suit people who like sweet coffee. Specialty roasters suit black-coffee drinkers.
